In April 2022, total equities turnover value on the GPW Main Market was PLN 23.1 billion, representing a 2.8% increase year on year, while Electronic Order Book turnover value increased by 3.5% year on year to PLN 22.9 billion. Average daily Electronic Order Book equities turnover value stood at PLN 1,203.9 million, a 9.0% increase year on year. On the last trading day of April 2022, the WIG index closed at 57,754.98 points, representing a 5.0% decrease year on year.

Total April 2022 NewConnect equities turnover value decreased by 53.8% year on year to PLN 249.5 million, while Electronic Order Book equities turnover decreased by 53.1% year on year and stood at PLN 239.0 million.

Total April 2022 derivatives turnover volume was 901,200 contracts, representing a 39.0% increase year on year. Index futures turnover volume increased by 42.3% year on year to 508,100 contracts. Single-stock futures turnover volume decreased by 12.5% year on year to 129,100 contracts. Currency futures turnover volume increased by 92.4% year on year to 240,000 contracts.

In April 2022, structured products turnover value increased by 39.8% year on year to PLN 263.5 million. ETF turnover value decreased by 26.5% year on year to PLN 54.7 million.

At the end of April 2022, Catalyst listed non-Treasury bond value was PLN 97.5 billion, compared to PLN 102.5 billion at the end of April 2021. In April 2022, turnover value of non-Treasury bonds on Catalyst’s Electronic Order Book increased by 186.3% year on year to PLN 879.8 million.

In April 2022, total TBSP bond turnover value was PLN 33.8 billion, compared to PLN 38.2 billion in April 2021, representing an 11.6% decrease year on year.

Total April 2022 electricity turnover volume was 12.3 TWh, representing a 3.7% increase year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 0.3% year on year to 3.0 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume increased by 5.0% year on year to 9.3 TWh.

Total April 2022 natural gas turnover volume was 7.6 TWh, representing a 12.5% decrease year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 44.6% year on year to 2.0 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume increased by 10.6% year on year to 5.6 TWh.

Turnover volume of April 2022 spot transactions in property rights to certificates of origin, excluding rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”),[2] was 3.4 TWh, representing a 75.7% increase year on year.

In April 2022, turnover volume of property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) decreased by 25.7% year on year to 9.1 ktoe[3].

April 2022 turnover volume in Guarantees of Origin of electricity generated from renewable energy sources increased by 78.4% year on year to 3.4 TWh.

At the end of April 2022, the market capitalisation of 377 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 594.5 billion (EUR 127.6 billion), while the total market capitalisation of 422 domestic and foreign companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 1,141.7 billion (EUR 245.1 billion).

In April 2022, GPW held 19 trading sessions, compared to 20 trading sessions in April 2021.

The shares of the companies BeeIN S.A. (offering value: PLN 4 million) and NOCTILUCA S.A. (offering value: PLN 4.6 million) were newly listed on NewConnect in April 2022.
