In March 2023, total equities turnover value on the GPW Main Market was PLN 24.8 billion, representing a 44.1% decrease year on year, while Electronic Order Book turnover value decreased by 43.7% year on year to PLN 24.6 billion. Average daily Electronic Order Book equities turnover value stood at PLN 1,091.7 million, a 43.7% decrease year on year. On the last trading day of March 2023, the WIG index closed at 58,608.76 points, representing a 9.7% decrease year on year.
Total March 2023 NewConnect equities turnover value decreased by 36.8% year on year to PLN 201.9 million, while Electronic Order Book equities turnover decreased by 43.9% year on year and stood at PLN 177.0 million.
Total March 2023 GlobalConnect equities turnover value was PLN 220,700.
Total March 2023 derivatives turnover volume was 1,927,600 contracts, representing an 8.5% increase year on year. Index futures turnover volume increased by 4.5% year on year to 1,029,900 contracts. Currency futures turnover volume increased by 50.0% year on year to 697,800 contracts. Single-stock futures turnover volume decreased by 44.5% year on year to 162,600 contracts.
In March 2023, structured products turnover value decreased by 41.7% year on year to PLN 271.2 million. ETF turnover value increased by 8.8% year on year to PLN 120.1 million.
At the end of March 2023, Catalyst listed non-Treasury bond value was PLN 94.2 billion, compared to PLN 98.3 billion at the end of March 2022. In March 2023, turnover value of bonds on Catalyst’s Electronic Order Book decreased by 51.1% year on year to PLN 429.3 million.
In March 2023, total TBSP bond turnover value was PLN 43.0 billion, compared to PLN 55.4 billion in March 2022, representing a 22.5% decrease year on year.
Total March 2023 electricity turnover volume was 12.8 TWh, representing a 7.7% decrease year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume increased by 40.8% year on year to 4.3 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume decreased by 21.6% year on year to 8.4 TWh.
Total March 2023 natural gas turnover volume was 14.3 TWh, representing a 40.5% increase year on year, where spot transaction turnover volume decreased by 17.5% year on year to 2.0 TWh and forward transaction turnover volume increased by 58.9% year on year to 12.3 TWh.
Turnover volume of March 2023 spot transactions in property rights to certificates of origin, excluding rights to certificates of energy efficiency (“white certificates”),[2] was 2.0 TWh, representing a 19.0% decrease year on year.
In March 2023, turnover volume of property rights to certificates of origin of energy efficiency (“white certificates”) increased by 36.6% year on year to 11.7 ktoe.
March 2023 turnover volume in Guarantees of Origin of electricity generated from renewable energy sources increased by 18.7% year on year to 5.9 TWh.
At the end of March 2023, the market capitalisation of 373 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 583.9 billion (EUR 124.9 billion), while the total market capitalisation of 416 domestic and foreign companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 1,244.5 billion (EUR 266.2 billion).
Shares of the company FROZEN WAY S.A. (offering value: PLN 3 million) were newly listed on NewConnect in March 2023.
Corporate bonds of OLIVIA FIN Sp. z o.o. S.K.A. (issue value: PLN 25 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in March 2023.
